Coffee with Pastor Mark, today:

It has been asked and so must be answered. At no time has our ministry employed AI technology to compose our sermon's, weekly gospel readings, "Coffee with Pastor" columns or any other articles in our archives. I lead not because I am above the Frey, but rather because I have been called to do so. I counsel not because I am perfect, but rather because I am aware of my imperfection within Elohim's grace and in His strength I surmount my weakness and by doing so, lift others.  I preach not because I am called qualified, but rather because in being called i have been qualified. I am neither pious nor elevated in holiness, for it through dedication, devotion, gratitude and praise that I am through Rauch Chodesh (Holy Spirit), brought to the light of Elohei Tzur Yishi (G-d, the Rock of my Salvation) to know His truths which I am called to Share in the Love!

"Returning to His Promises"

Through several manifestations of His Holy empowerment by Elohim Avinu (G-d our Father) , Ben Elohim (The Son of G-d), Yehoshua, Ha’ Moshiach (The Anointed One) provides the faithful with the truest sense in faith remain in His presence of glorified holiness and is offered in evidence that Yehoshua exactly who He stated He is. His miraculous  healings and His divine resurrections, the wedding miracle at Cana and in so many other manners and ways has He demonstrated Himself authentic.

From the sacrifice of His death upon the rugged hewn cross and to the stunning miracle of His resurrection with only an empty tomb to be found; if the story of His life, death and resurrection were not enough to convince the faithful, most certainly in His presence as He reveals the truth of Elohim (G-d) through His words may draw even the hardened unrepentant and bring them to faith, for His words have moved so many and brought them from the depths of despair and the death of sin and into the life and love of Elohei Kedem (The Eternal G-d; those who listened remained still in His presence, as His words seemed to fill the air around them with the purity of a fresh breath which calms and illuminates one’s place in the Kingdom of Elohim Bashamayim (G-d in Heaven).

The many who believed themselves to once be upright and righteous in the eyes of Elohim (G-d) had ignored the lessons of the teachings of Yehoshua; rather some would come to once again find some of the Chosen who have come to know Him would drift away from the presence of Ben Elohim only to be caught in the sinful trap of pagan practices, and leaning into pagan gods. At each turn of the road, Yehoshua rebuked them for this godless infatuation, and our text displays Elohim’s (G-d's) remonstrating with them...

"Hast thou not procured this unto thy self, in the way that thou hast forsaken the L-RD they G-d, when he led thee by the way? And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? Or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river? Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and all thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the L-RD they G-d, and that fear is not in thee, saidth the L-rd G-D of hosts.” - {Yirmeyahu/Jeremiah 2:17-19} Such is the warning of Elohim to the wavering and wondering Believer.

Dear and loving faithful,, we shall surely in our wonderings, find we have come asunder; straying from the great promises of Elohim Emet (The G-d of Truth). Has Elohim Bashamayim (G-d in Heaven) not provided us with substantial warning of what lay beyond the path of righteousness? Having known the truth and turning from our intimate fellowship of Yehoshua, we have come to know the absence of His loving embrace and confidence which come from the only possible source of redemption, Ha’ Moshiach The Anonnited One) Himself.

So, then loving faithful, in the turning of our back before Him, have we found our sought contentment in the world of man, in the earthly temptations and all repayment in kind of evil which follows them? How hungry we must be, shadowed in existence on a diet of the scraps of those who would enslave us. Are we not yet yearning to return to the feast of the manna from heaven? Have we yet come to long to be in His presence once again, after having been reminded of the darkness of the world before His coming? The foreign waters of the shores of Egypt may be found sweet and refreshing to the Egyptians, however the waters of foreign lands shall to us remain bitter and leave our thirst yearning for the waters of life in the promised land of milk and honey from whence we came.

Landing home then from distant shores unfamiliar and lacking the intrigue our imaginations had tempted us with, this is not of Hashem (G-d), for He calls us back to our rich toiled green lands of ha'aretz hamuvtakha (Hebrew - “The Land of Milk and Honey”) and once again taste the sweet waters of Ha’ Moshiach. We must return home and re-establish that once treasured intimate relationship with Yehoshua, as certinaly there is to be found only contentment, peace and the joy once greatly treasured which has gone missing in our absence from where we belong and in the presence and intimacy of our loving Rock and Redeemer. We must shake ourselves free from the bondage of the yolk of sin and temptation and once again, come home and be jubilant, returning to His Promises.

Let us return to the surety and peaceful contentment once again reigniting our passion in faith. Allow the word’s of Yehoshua to be your quenching strength before all things. Let us return home, into the presence of Ha’ Moshiach (The Anointed One),
