"Seeking Perfect Intimacy"

When you are joined in Holy Union with your spouse before Elohei Tehillati (The G-d of my praise) and before the present company, in time, you learn that bond of intimacy strengthens and is forged into a reckoning force. Married couples make love on their honeymoon and from there after, both the pleasure and intimacy grow in bond beyond imagination.
They make love when bodies are healthy and during battles against cancer. As a unified couple graced by HaShem’s (G-d's) blessings, each pursue one another other through intimate service, sacrifice, and struggle; our Father blesses them in a way the world around them can never know. Lovemaking is more than just erotic pleasure; it is a soul-knitting intimacy that deepens with time. Know that by continually neglecting the principles of true intimacy in love making, we are settling for flashes of sinful lustful coveting passion instead of the valuable white-hot coals of enduring intimacy which is a great gift bestowed through Elyon (Most High) Himself for all those who follow and trust in the ministry of Ha’ Moshiach (The Anointed One).
The world portrays pleasure as the excitement of passion which moves from lover to lover and fantasy to fantasy. However, does this sort of pleasure really fulfill? Or does it actually deepen our discontentment and cause us callousness of the heart? Is one who clicks on one pornographic picture and stops, satisfied? I see it as looking at a photo of a perfectly prepared steak; you can look at that steak as long as you wish, but the fact will remain, you will still hunger. Who fantasizes for a few seconds and stops, and finds themselves satisfied?

The offering of worldly pleasure can’t satisfy a heart which was created for a deeper, lasting intimate pleasure, in and out of the bedroom. Sin provides the sort of pleasure a parched man feels when he sees a mirage of water. He feels a thrill of hope, yet in the end disappointment only amplifies the emptiness. HaShem (G-d) uses vivid imagery to communicate that He intends couples to be unified and united within Him to deeply enjoy true and unforced intimacy with one another. Acts of sex are a great gift from a good Heavenly Creator who delights in our joy.
HaShem intended the design of physical intimacy to be best enjoyed when it is based on something other than mere lustful attraction to appearance or performance. That doesn’t mean sex is always enjoyable or easy for married couples. Marriage is the union of an ever-changing and ever-growing pair of fallen people who bring one another to rise; we can expect true physical intimacy to have both sweet and sour days and seasons. That is part of our Creator’s wise design. He has called couples to join with faith at the center, to be committed to one antoher and to make love with one another other during every season of life.
The joy of great intimacy on a honeymoon may be wonderful or awkward. Intimate times are shared in the purchase of a new home or the shared grief of burying a parent; intimacy is made stronger in each and every joint decision. HaShem ordains intimacy for couples as the ultimate demonstration of union, whether richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, when life is better or worse.... until death do us part.... because this is a reflection of His enduring love for us and when built within the intimacy with one another, comes our more appreciative enduring love of Elyon.
We discover a depth of pleasure both as we laugh and cry… pray and trust and weep and mourn and hope together. The physical intimacy couples share is more than just a mere erotic pleasure; it is the joining and bonding of two grateful souls which deepens with time. HaShem has designed this deep and spiritual soul-level intimacy to reflect the deep, intimate, committed and faithful servant’s heartfelt commitment between Himself and His people, the loving faith…. the devoted of the ministry of Yehoshua.
The goal of true physical intimacy isn’t ultimately just enjoying the contour of your in loving exploration, much more greatly it is enjoying and celebrating HaShem as the giver of extraordinary gifts. We know this because for all of eternity we will now live in a new heaven and new earth, for we understand His Kingdom is here and now, ever present, a world in which we continue to enjoy a better and lasting pleasure with HaShem as the center of our all of interactions and relationships. Nothing may compare with a rich and intimate relationship with our Father, though the joy of a truly loving and mutually respectful union sure does come close in the reflection.
To the Married;
1.) Trust Elyon (The Most High) when intimacy is absent. At times, physical intimacy may seem stagnant or nonexistent. Do not give up. Pray together. Press past the awkwardness and pain. Confess bitterness. Open your heart and mind to permit HaShem to help you.
“G-d is better than the best sex.” Please do not hear me saying that if you just trust HaShem and obey him, all your sexual struggles will vanish. That isn’t what I’m saying. What I am saying is that true pleasure comes from receiving what HaShem has given us by faith, and trusting that He is good, and intends it for our good (“Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.” {Psalm 119:6}). True pleasure is not found finally in having an amazing sex life, but rather is found in the amazing Creator of All. Bring your sexual satisfaction and sexual dysfunction to Yehoshua, because that is the ultimate goal of love, the goal of it all: to bring you closer to Him.
2.} Communication makes intimacy more intimate. Simply making love in days of joy and sorrow won’t bring you closer to your spouse. Intimacy is cultivated through communication. Have regular conversations about how things are going in this area and how you can serve each other better. Talking honestly and listening to each other about intimate issues is part of HaShem’s plan to draw you closer together.
3.) Contentment in physical intimacy comes from delighting in heavens grace and the great gifts and blessings afforded us. You could have the best spouse on the planet and enjoy the most fulfilling intimate contact imaginable, and still this fact remains: if our hearts are not satisfied in G-d, we shall never realize true satisfaction. Spouses can be wonderful helpers, but they are sorry saviors, for they too, as fallible as we are. The best way to have a blessed and satisfying physically intimate life is to delight in HaShem who gives the gift. Living true in the ministry of Yehoshua is always better than any gift your partner gives you, including the heights and joys of physical intimacy in Union.
To the Unmarried;
1.) Don’t buy counterfeit pleasures. Darker influences shall provide many opportunities to satisfy your sexual frustration. However, the fleeting flames of names people engaging in sex on your screen or empty flings of premarital sex, end up stealing the very pleasure you are greatly seeking. I realize it feels crazy to resist, especially when no end is in sight, but love in HaShem promises to help you. By living your faith in the battle, you will find the truer joy that fleeting sexual temptations could never provide.
2.} Protect your future marriage. Marriage is tough enough as it is. However, if you fill your heart with sexual yearning and experiences, you set yourself and your future spouse up for unnecessary added difficulty. In the blessings of the granting of a spouse, that person shall fulifll what you really need. Filling your heart with unrealistic or unfair expectations which never ceased to disappoint, can end up hindering the true intimacy when it arrives for you in the future. Energy filled physical intimacy with your spouse is HaShem’s blessed gift to be form a bond within the Union that it strengthens over time.”
3.} Find contentment in Elyon (The Most High) today. Remember that your fulfillment as a spiritual person is not dependent on being sexually or romantically fulfilled. Yehoshua presents the most fully and complete instructions in the path of The Way. Now you might think, Yeah, thanks, but I’m not Yehoshua. I get it, but please hear this: sexual pleasure will never ultimately satisfy you, it creates a momentary sensation of satisfaction, but shall leave also a void, an unfulfilled and yet yearning to fill the heart and lift the soul, something incredibly rare in casual intimacy. A wonderful spouse shall never fulfill you. Neither making love nor spouse can do what only HaShem can. Seek to be satisfied in Him, and if He gifts you a spouse, you’ll be greatly more free to enjoy the wonderful and lasting intimacy both physically and most importantly, spiritually.
Open your Heart before HaShem fully; display your intent of commitment both before Him and to Him and in His wisdom that ONE is possible to find. If you can’t establish an intimate relationship with Ha’ Moshiach Yehoshua, how could you possible expect to do so on your own with another? Bring you open heart to be filled in His love, permit the Holy Spirit to permeate you. The more joyful we find ourselves in our faith, the greater the joy we may share intimately with our partner.
Walk in faith, go in His grace and know that you are loved,
Pastor Mark
