Tithing: Expanding the Love
Tithing and the Priesthood: The way of Elohim Avinu established clearly as tradition far before recalling of the Book of Bereishit/Genesis:
Avram's nephew Lot had been taken captive during a war between regional kings. Avram assembled a small force of trained men (318 from his household), pursued the enemies, and achieved a stunning victory, rescuing Lot along with the captured goods, people, and spoils.

Returning victorious, Avram is met first by the king of Sodom in the Valley of Shaveh (also called the King's Valley; Genesis 14:17). This location marks a place of meeting after battle, symbolizing a moment of decision and honor on the "road of victory."
Balance in Blessings
Scriptural Text has long addressed tithing (giving a tenth of one's increase or possessions) in various contexts, beginning as a voluntary act of worship and gratitude, later formalized under the Mosaic Law for ancient Israel, and referenced in the New Testament in relation to priesthood, justice, and generous giving.
